Website design notes

The Coylumbridges Highland Lodges Club website has been designed in accordance with prevailing standards (2010) for design coding and accessibility. Specifically:

Coding Standard

The website is coded (and fully validated) in "XHTML 1.0 Strict". XHTML 1.0 is the W3C's current recommendation for coding, brings the rigor of XML to Web pages and is "the keystone in W3C's work to create standards that provide richer Web pages on an ever increasing range of browser platforms including cell phones, televisions, cars, wallet sized wireless communicators, kiosks, and desktops." In layman's terms. it future-proofs the website as far as can be done.

Coding Standard

The website is designed (and fully validated) to AAA accessibility standards. The W3C defines examples of end users of the web who may have difficulty in using poorly designed sites:

The Site Map at the foot of each page is provided to cater for any visitor who is unable to use the pictorial menu strip to navigate the site.
