Refurbishment
Since 2003 the club has spent £1.6m on refurbishment and has plans to spend a further £1.3m between now and the end of 2012. Once this programme has been completed, all lodges will have been refurbished to their required levels and plans will be drawn up for the next ten years.
The works since 2003 have included, but are not limited to, kitchen upgrades, new Carpets & Curtains, full redecoration, bathroom upgrades and lounge, dining & bedroom furniture.
The lodges that have had work carried out on them and the years that they took place are:
- 2003 – Lodges 1 – 16 (Bathrooms) and Lodges 40 – 45 (Part Refurbishment)
- 2004 – Lodges 46 – 51 (Part Refurbishment)
- 2005 – Lodges 18, 23 – 26 (Full Refurbishment)
- 2006 – Lodges 17, 19 – 22 (Full Refurbishment)
- 2007 – Lodges 27, 29, 30 & 33 (Full Refurbishment)
- 2008 – Lodges 28, 31, 32 & 34 (Full Refurbishment), Lodges 1 – 16 Soft Furnishings in Bedrooms
- 2009 – Lodges 35 & 37 (Full Refurbishment), Lodge 7 (Refurbishment of Downstairs Kitchen, Dining and Living Areas) and new 32 inch flat screen HD ready Digital TVs for all lodges.
The plans for the years 2010 – 2012 are:
- 2010 – Lodges 36 ,38 & 39 (Full Refurbishment), Lodges 9, 10, 12, 14 & 16 (Refurbishment of Downstairs Kitchen, Dining and Living Areas), Lodges 40 – 45 (Full Refurbishment) and Lodges 52 – 61 (Soft Furnishings)
- 2011 – Lodges 4, 5, 6, 8 & 13 (Refurbishment of Downstairs Kitchen, Dining and Living Areas), Lodges 52 – 61 (Soft Furnishings), Lodges 46 – 51 (Part Refurbishment).
- 2012 – Lodges 1, 2, 3, 11 & 15 (Refurbishment of Downstairs Kitchen, Dining and Living Areas)
